For as hard as it may be to believe, it is the end of an era. After 22 years of running Big Games at Paint Ball Sams we have decided that this fall will mark the final time we will be hosting a Big Game. Over the years so many things have changed in the sport of paintball and one of those things is the demise of the big game format. As more and more players are joining the ranks of scenario game players or tournament players the good old back bone of the industry rec ball players seem to be a dying breed.
The last few years has seen a drastic decline in the amount of big games being offered by fields, they are being replaced more and more by big budget specialty scenario games and so it is time to move on. Although we have always loved the Big Game events and will miss seeing some the folks that have made it a tradition to attend we just think that is time to move on to other avenues. What does the future hold? Well, no one really knows for sure, that’s what makes it the future, all we can be sure of is the present and the present shows us that this is the end of a Paintball Era.
Do not miss your last chance to attend what had been for years the premier event on the paintball calendar. Do not let the opportunity to be part of history pass you by. If you have never played at a Paint Ball Sams Big Game before then now is your last chance to come out and be part of an event known the industry over, a chance to take part in the last of the longest running big game series in the sport. If you have played at a Sams Big Game before but maybe haven’t been able to make the last few then this is your chance to rekindled the love for the game one last time, pull the gear of the closet, call up some friends you haven’t seen in years, and come out for the finale of what was a great run of events.
In case you aren’t familiar with Paint Balls Sams Big Games here some info you will need to know. Fist and foremost there is no field fee for this event. All day air pass will be available for those with compressed air tank at the cost of 10.00 dollars per tank. C02 fills will be charged per fill at rates based on tank size. FIELD PAINT ONLY! There is no carry on paint allowed for the Big Game, you must purchase paint from us for the Big Game.
Age Requirements
All players over the age of 14 are welcome. For those under the age of 18 here is some info you need to know before you come to the big game.
We will have a special table set up to check in 14 thru 17 year olds. All 14 thru 17 years olds must go to this table before going to the registration table, whether
you have played here before or not. Don't forget you need to sign a waiver and have your ID with you. If you have never been at our field you will need the following items.
Our consent form & medical consent form signed by a parent and notarized. A waiver that you sign upon arrival. (Waivers will be on a table in the staging area)
A picture ID, which can be a drivers license or school ID. If you are coming with your parent or a legal guardian, (with a letter of legal guardianship) they can sign
the parental consent form in front of our staff person at the check in table. Everyone needs a picture ID with them.
If you need a Parental Consent Form we can mail one to you or you can download the forms off our website. Don't forget they must be notarized if your parent is not coming
to the field with you.
Prices
FREE PLAY! There is no admission charged to play in the Big Game.
Pre Paid Paint Prices are for full cases only at a price of 85 dollars per case. The deadline for ordering paint is September 30th.
Paint may be purchased at the field at 100.00 per case or 55.00 per half case.
Rental prices are Gun with compressed air tank 15.00 3000 psi compressed air tank 10.00 Mask 5.00 Camo Coverall 5.00
Any rentals not purchased in advance are first come first serve. The deadline for reserving equipment is September 30th. There are no refunds for unused equipment.
